THOSE WHO LIVE BY FAITH

ree

Over the years, metaphorically speaking, many have chosen to give the dog a bad name in a bid to hang it. These fifth columnists, who would rather lead wild, indisciplined and visionless lives in the name of practical Christianity, have come to associate living by faith with laziness or an unwillingness to pay the price for the results one desires. Still, nothing could be farther from the truth. Living by faith is not about sitting back and waiting for miracles but actively trusting God's guidance and provision in every aspect of our lives.

From our main Bible Text, taken from Habakkuk chapter 2, verses 1-4, we see a different picture painted, which shows a dependence on God to leverage His vast reach in the past and future, infinite intelligence, infinite resources and eternal possibilities. The writer emphatically suggests that refusing such an opportunity is proof of pride, arrogance, and an overestimation of the prevailing human condition. Habakkuk said;

'I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. ' - Habakkuk 2:1-4

True faith empowers you to run with purpose, discipline, and a clear vision. A heart filled with faith cannot be redundant. Faith propels you to work towards your goals constantly.

The life of faith is a strategic advantage given to humanity, enabling us to fulfil our God-given potential and live up to the purpose of our creation. Our design is to be like God, ruling the earth on His behalf, with no limitations, while overflowing with mercy and compassion.

Our human predicament, the result of our Adamic heritage, has, however, left us with ingrained imperfections that constantly sabotage our ability to be all we can be. Hence, the Jesus lifeline and faith backdoor allow us to live our natural, earthly life not in our own strength but using and depending on God's divine heavenly abilities and capacities. They enable us to tap into God's wisdom, strength, and resources to overcome our limitations and live a life that reflects His glory.

Living our lives by the faith of God and with faith in God means we are constantly on our watch through the reading of and meditation on the bible, listening to the preaching of the word, praying and fellowshipping with other believers so we can keep getting glimpses into infinite possibilities available to us, i.e. all that He has provisioned for us in the spirit realm, what we must do to materialize them and how to access the divine resources supplied to make up for our weaknesses which could include angels and other unseen spiritual and natural forces.

Those who live by faith avail themselves of a legal cheat code, ensuring that they are not armstrung by the obstacles and hindrances that commonly keep humans from dreaming impossible dreams, such as overcoming addiction or healing broken relationships, reaching for unattainable heights, like achieving personal and professional success, and daring to do godlike things while trapped in impaired human bodies, such as showing love and forgiveness in the face of adversity.

Remember, living by faith is not just righteous; it is the moral thing to do and, ultimately, the most intelligent decision anyone will ever make.
