Our main Text today is from 1 Corinthians 2:1-5 where the Apostle Paul emphasises the danger believers face when they become carried away by the beauty, logic and sound of their words, amongst other ephemeral characteristics that we forget what matters, which are the changes which those words should produce.
'And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. ' - 1 Corinthians 2:1-5
Because we, as believers, have been given the authority by God to rule and reign on earth, every word we utter receives the backing of the one who put us in this authority. We should, therefore, be careful how we use our words because everything we say now gets enforced.
In Mark 11:23-24, Jesus revealed to us the incredible potential of faith. With the measure of faith we possess, we can move mountains, bringing about profound change with our words alone.
You must now believe that your words have power and that anything you say comes to pass. Once you decree something, you know it is already performed by forces beyond your imagination.
With this measure of faith, you can confidently enter any room, move the mightiest of mountains, and uproot the strongest strongholds. Your victory, once achieved, will be enduring and unshakeable.
In Isaiah 50:4, the writer affirms how God imparts His divine will into our subconscious, empowering our words to effect the desired changes.
Your words will never fail anymore, and faith will never fail you again, in Jesus' mighty name.
