Our Bible Reading is taken from 2 Chronicles 20:1-30, which illustrates the power of faith and trust in God, even in the face of overwhelming odds.
Here is an important excerpt:
'And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped. And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much. '2 Chronicles 20:24-25
In an era where significant scientific advancements have created a global majority that is highly cynical and arrogant yet mediocre and full of failure and poverty, God is looking for a remnant. This remnant, which includes you, has excellent reasons to depend on their human abilities but choose to trust helplessly in God and obey His every word unconditionally. You are part of this remnant and will experience consistent victories obtained in the most unexpected ways.
The Wright brothers, semi-educated bicycle repairers, gave the world the first significant breakthrough in understanding aerodynamics a few weeks after the well-funded and government-backed scientific minds of that era accepted total failure and announced capitulation in their pursuit of the possibility of human flight.
God still uses those who might be considered foolish by the world, like the Wright brothers, to confound those who are too wise to accept the illogical.
The question is, are you one of them? If so, Jesus says to you, "Believe only". For all things are possible to him that believes. This is not just a statement but a promise of victory through faith. So, take heart and believe, for your victory is assured in Jesus' mighty name.
