THOSE WITH TREASURES IN HEAVEN

The endless debates and consequent disaffections surrounding immigration stem from the fact that many people, including believers, have their well-being and welfare locked into specific material locations and jurisdictions.
Many lie, cheat and commit all manner of fraud to be able to stay in or leave certain places because the reality of a borderless kingdom that holds treasures for its citizens (Christians)in a virtual space, accessible to them irrespective of physical location, is not yet a reality to them.
Jesus said;
Jesus' words serve as a powerful reminder: 'Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. ' - Matthew 6:19-21
No wonder Jesus emphasized this message differently to his disciples each time they journeyed to new jurisdictions while on ministerial assignments;
Take no gold nor silver nor [even] copper money in your purses (belts);
And do not take a provision bag or a wallet for a collection bag for your journey, nor two undergarments, nor sandals, nor a staff; for the workman deserves his support (his living, his food).
He charged them to take nothing for their journey except a walking stick–no bread, no wallet for a collection bag, no money in their belts (girdles, purses)–
But to go with sandals on their feet and not to put on two tunics (undergarments).
And He said to them, Do not take anything for your journey–neither walking stick, nor wallet [for a collection bag], nor food of any kind, nor money, and do not have two undergarments (tunics).
Carry no purse, no provisions bag, no [change of] sandals; refrain from [retarding your journey by] saluting and wishing anyone well along the way.
When you realize that you are not just a citizen, but a resident of Heaven, and that your governmental and banking systems are not tied to any earthly jurisdiction, a profound sense of freedom and security envelops you. You can move swiftly and fearlessly on any mission God has for you, knowing that you will never be deprived or harmed.
Like the imitation virtual banking system we are all used to today, to access your resources stored in the cloud, you need some form of token that gives you access and verifies your identity and ownership status.
For the believer, our human spirit is that token with its unique signature that gives us access to all that is rightfully ours, verifies our ownership and identity, and authorizes the release of anything we need wherever and whenever we need it.
Apostle Paul spoke to this point when he pointed out that our treasures domiciled in Heaven are viewed, validated and accessed with and within our earthly bodies:
' However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves.' - 2 Corinthians 4:7
Jesus put it this way;
' Nor will people say, Look! Here [it is]! or, See, [it is] there! For behold, the kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts] and among you [surrounding you].' - Luke 17:21
In essence, for the believer, our physical bodies, which house our human spirit, are all that matter. They are the key to accessing anything we need, anywhere and at any time. Our wealth is not tied to the laws, governance, or limitations of any particular material space or season. We are spiritually empowered and liberated from such constraints.
Remember, if you are in Christ, you are in Heaven, and all the resources of the kingdom are at your disposal. So, instead of worrying like the world does, focus on building and operating within this heavenly system. Rest assured, the Most High God will continually supply all your needs according to His riches in glory. In Jesus' mighty name, amen. [Philippians 4:19]
