RELATIONSHIP CONFESSIONS

FOR MEN

by Pastor Kunle Adeoye-Davids

I am a God-fearing, provider, protector, lover and pillar for the wife and children God has given and entrusted to me.

I am an achiever, a winner and an all-round success whose hard work is always rewarded with crowning success.

I am blameless and beyond reproach, the husband of one wife; self-controlled, sensible, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not addicted to wine. I am honourable, ethical, and fair in all my financial and professional dealings, not double-tongued or a practitioner of half-truths.

I live with my family in an understanding way: with great gentleness and tact, and with an intelligent regard for my marriage relationship.

I show honour and respect to my wife as a fellow heir of the grace of life, hence my prayers are always effective and we achieve all our worthwhile goals.

I do not provoke my children to anger by exasperating them to the point of resentment with demands that are trivial or unreasonable or humiliating or abusive; nor by showing favouritism or indifference to any of them, so they will not lose heart and become discouraged or unmotivated; with their spirits utterly broken.

On the contrary, I protect, validate and guard their dreams and aspirations.  I am raising champions; children who win in every area of their lives, nurturing them up tenderly and with lovingkindness in the discipline, fear and instruction of the Lord.

I am the pastor of my home, showing my children what a godly man, husband, father and citizen should look like; not a bully nor quick-tempered and hot-headed, but gentle and considerate, free from the love of money not greedy for wealth and its inherent power but financially ethical.

I manage my own household well, leading my family always on the right path with all dignity; keeping my wife happy, fulfilled and proud always and my children respectful and well-behaved. I have a good reputation and I am well thought of by outsiders.

Thank you, Jesus.
